Documenting and developing awareness of northwest Galician embroidery techniques

 

Camariñas is located in Galicia, Spain where traditional handcrafted bobbin lace since the XV Century is still being produced. to Galicia aims at testing the methodology already developed in Oaxaca and monitoring how it evolves in other artisanal communities. Special considerations are given to the natural differences between the local and global culture. Adapting to the local culture and its specificities and creating new location sensitive approximation strategies would be the starting point as CADA reaches Galicia!
